Long Island Advertising: 4 Tips For Developing Display Ads

By Arthur Williams

For those that don't know, display ads are visual promotional tools that run on websites. These can come in different forms, including audio clips and videos, and they can provide awareness on a litany of platforms. Anyone that works in Long Island advertising will agree, but how exactly are these developed for the sake of long-term success? The following 4 tips will be able to provide the support you're looking for.

For those that are unfamiliar with creating display ads, it's important to be attention-grabbing at the onset. This can be done by selecting the right images that will accompany your copy. Make sure that they are high-resolution graphics, as pixelated or otherwise low-quality images won't do. You must also include the right colors to make your ads stand out more. Following these steps will allow you to create ads that the likes of fishbat can approve of.

Another way to develop display ads that will perform is by having the right text. Even though images and colors will catch the attention of others, as discussed earlier, it's the copy that you provide that will keep them hooked. Not only should your copy be well-worded, but it should clearly emphasize what you provide. Even if you have to double or even triple-check your work, you'll be happy that you put in the additional effort.

Display ads should be designed with CTAs, or calls to action, in mind as well. What do you want a user to do upon clicking on your ad? Do you want them to visit another page on your site? Are you looking for them to reach out to you for more information? Whatever the case may be, a CTA should be able to convey this as clearly as possible. Otherwise, you won't get nearly as much out of your display advertising efforts as you should.

Finally, and most importantly, test your ads as regularly as possible. Just because they're working one day doesn't necessarily mean that they'll be operational in the days to come, which is why you should monitor their performance. By doing so, you'll be able to make changes that will allow them to work more effectively. Advertising is an ongoing process, so don't think that you should simply leave your display ads alone.
